Insurance Cover Letter Notice

Kindly note that your current motor policy will be expiring on the 24th Feb 2019. LCR will be sending you a copy of the updated Certificate of Insurance via email. Do check your Spam folder if you did not receive it in your Inbox. For further enquiries, kindly refer to FAQ listed below.

Why are you sending me a new Certificate of Insurance?
The current motor policy will expire on the 25th Feb 2019. You would require the updated Certificate of Insurance that covers you till the 24th Feb 2020.

Is there a change in insurer?
Yes. The new insurers are Tokio Marine Insurance Singapore Ltd

There is a list of Tokio Marine’s authorised workshops on Page 2 of the document sent to me. Are these my new allocated maintenance / accident reporting workshops?
NO, they are not. Kindly ignore Page 2 of the document and follow the allocated workshop that was assigned to you by LCR.

With the new insurer, is there any change to the coverage?
The changes does not affect you as a Hirer/authorised driver in the event of accident as set out in our rental agreement

Is there any change to the insurance excess amount?
No. The Vehicle Damage Fees and Insurance Excess remains as $2200 and $2140 respectively.

Does the new Certificate of Insurance still cover up till Batu Pahat Malaysia?
Yes, as per your rental agreement you will be covered up to Batu Pahat.

How can I obtain a copy of Certificate of Insurance if I’m unable to retrieve it from my email?
We have sent out the soft-copy to the email you have provided during on-boarding. Please also check your spam folder. However, if you still did not receive it, kindly send an email to to request for a copy.

Do I need to personally update my ride-hailing partner with the new Certificate of Insurance or will LCR do it on my behalf?
You will need to personally update your ride-hailing partner with the updated Certificate of Insurance to continue with the respective platform. Please check with your ride-hailing partner on the process of updating.
